Our CHRISTMAS letter...

Mele Kalikimaka to all of our family and friends! We hope that everyone is enjoying the Christmas season… we are definitely enjoying the opportunity to slow down the pace of our normally busy schedule and focus on the birth of our Savior.

The highlight of 2009 has definitely been the arrival of our son. Matthew Kai Uyboco joined our family on June19th, and it is hard to believe that he is already six months old. He is such a pleasant and content boy… a real joy to everyone in our family. He has not started to crawl, yet; but he can roll like a champion. In a matter of seconds he can move from the middle of the room and get himself trapped under the couch or Christmas tree.

Eliana is a very proud “big kid” now, and she enjoys telling us all the things that four year olds are capable of doing. She is teaching us a lot… so far we have learned that four year olds no longer need naps, they can eat candy whenever they want, they do not need to go to bed until their Mommy and Daddy go to bed, and they can pretty much do whatever they want! Although her stubborn independence is frustrating at times, we cannot go fifteen minutes without laughing at some of the things she comes up with. Recently she has decided that she is a Musketeer. She runs through the house fighting the bad guys as she shouts, “All for one and one for all!” She is a wonderful sister, and it is so cute to watch the two of them giggle and laugh at each other… they will always get along like that, right?

We managed to squeeze in some trips this year as well. We spent some time in California this summer for a much needed vacation and to be a part of Jon’s cousin Alina’s wedding. Eliana was talking about going to Disneyland and meeting the Princesses for months before our trip, so our trip to Disney was extra special seeing it through her eyes. Kai got to meet his great=grandma (Tai ma in Chinese) while we were there. Since he looks just like his Daddy did at that age that was an extra special time for Tai Ma. In the fall we loaded up our new mini-van and headed up to Annapolis for Jon’s10 year reunion at USNA. We were able to meet up with old friends and tried to enjoy some Navy football,.. but we had to leave early because of some rain. We spent Thanksgiving in Ohio with Suzanna’s family. Eliana really enjoyed playing with her cousins. There are 4 little girls that are all around the same age, so you can imagine the fun that they had together. What’s neat is that they get along surprisingly well… hopefully that will last.:)

For Christmas this year we are staying put right here in Danville. It is really strange for both of us to not be travelling. This is only the 3rd Christmas that we haven’t travelled in all the years we have been out of our parent’s homes, but we are looking forward to the special memories that we will make as a family.

Another highlight of our year was running in and completing our very first Half-Marathon. Jon, being the wonderful supportive husband that he is, agreed to start training right along with Suzanna so that we could do all of our long runs together. We felt pretty confident heading into the big day as we had trained on the course and done well. There was a 3-4 mile stretch of hills on the original course that we had already conquered on a long run, so we felt good. Then we had several days of heavy rain before the race that flooded the course, forcing a course change. The 3-4 miles of hills became 13.1 miles of hills… Yikes! It wasn’t the race that we had hoped for, but WE DID IT; and crazy Suzanna is looking forward to her next one… on a much flatter course, of course.:)

Please continue to pray for both of our children. Our constant prayer is that they will accept Christ into their hearts at a very young age, and that they will live their lives with a definite purpose and focus on God. Pray for us too, that we would continue to grow closer and closer to our Lord and closer to each other. We are very thankful for each one of you and how God has used you in our lives. May He bless you and strengthen you as you draw closer to Him today and throughout the coming year.

Warmest aloha,
Jon, Suzanna, Eliana, and Kai

It's about time...

I posted some recent pictures.:) Here are a collection of pictures over the last month or so. I wish that I had better ones of Eliana and her cousins, but it is incredibly difficult to get 6 kids under aged 5 and under to all stay still at the same time for a picture... one day, right?!:) Enjoy the pics!

Is it really over?!?!

I have been training for and thinking about this half-marathon for so long now, that it is hard to believe that it is over. My body definitely knows it is over as I can barely move.:) I am going to try and be positive about the whole thing but I am my own worst critic and was truthfully VERY dissapointed in myself and my preformance in the race. 3 days before the race it started raining here thanks to Hurricane Ida. Because of all of the rain the regular race course was flooded and they had to come up with a new course. Running is a total mental thing for me. I was totally prepared mentally for the regular course. I had run all but 2 of the 13.1 miles previously and had success doing it. I had visualized myself crossing that finish line. I had pictured myself running at each mile marker. Then they changed the course. The new course was completely unfamiliar to me, and even more than that, it was ALL hills! The old course had about a 3-4 mile stretch of hills in the middle of it that I had prepared for and run with success... but 13.1 miles of hills!! Not sure what they were thinking with that one. Race day arrived. The weather was clear and just a little cloudy. I had planned to run in cold weather and Jon had bought me a really cute long-sleeved running top, but to throw another curve ball my way, the sun came out and they were calling for it to be in the 70's. There went the cute shirt.:( So feeling completely "un-cute" without my new top, we went to the race area. The new course was all hills like I said, but it was also structured so that we would have to run the same thing 3 times. When I have done my long runs, I have avoided repeating areas at all times... it just gets boring and seems longer than it is. Sorry, I know I said I was going to be positive and all I have done is whine... I guess I am just trying to take you on the mental journey of this race. We started on an uphill and I felt pretty good. I had my wonderful husband running next to me, and I was just going to go out and give it my best shot. I felt pretty good for the first half of the race. I declined water and gatorade at each point up until then, because in my training long runs I would often get cramps if I drank something. I did not take into account the fact that I usually ran in much cooler weather, without the sun beating down on me, and on a much flatter course. Around mile 7 I got a cramp in the center of my gut that made me want to just fall down. It hurt so bad. I got some gatorade and slowed to a walk trying to shake it off. It wasn't going away so then I got frustrated with myself and my shoulders and neck siezed up with the tension of it all. Poor Jon! He was trying to encourage me to try and run it off, but I just was in so much pain. Eventually I convinced him to keep going without me and I would follow behind and run when I could. I am a complete novice to running and especially to half-marathon's, so I know that I probably made every mistake in the book. Still worrying about cramping I passed up another water stop. I also passed on the GU that they were passing out because I had never tried running with that stuff before. I was so worried that it would make me sick. Now I am on my own on this hilly course and all I want to do is give up. I am just berating myself the whole time for being so mentally weak that I can't just suck it up and run. A guy from our church was out there running the race as well, and he had passed Jon and I at one point and said, "Even if you have to walk the whole thing, don't let this course beat you." So as I am walking along trying to get rid of the tension and cramp, and getting more and more frustrated, I am trying to let his voice win out over my own in my head. I ran with another girl for a bit, and then lo and behold, I see Jon walking towards me. He decided it wasn't very fun to run alone, so he was waiting for me and we were able to finish together. I was feeling really really horrible when I found him... light headed and weak... along with being so frustrated with myself. He encouraged me to get some GU and water and I was actually able to finish running. I am not proud of myself... not really. I am glad that it is over. I know that I can only get better. I know that I will not run that hilly course again. I know that I will pay better attention to my body which was sending me very signal that it was seriously dehydrated... so much so that the roof of my mouth is raw from it being so dry. Thankfully I was able to run more of it than I walked, so I can be proud of that. I wish that I wasn't so hard on myself, because a lot of people never even attempt a half-marathon. I guess that I just need to get tougher mentally. I have a couple of pictures that I will post sometime soon. I am waiting on ones that people took after the race when we finally finished. I will also post pictures of our beautiful birthday girls celebration. I just wanted to get this half-marathon update on here. Thanks so much for everyone who was praying for me and cheering me on! It was your prayers that kept me going to even finish the race.:)

Not to be outdone...

This week is a pretty exciting one around our house! My Mom, 2 older sisters, and all the cousins arrive this evening for a visit and especially to help celebrate Eliana's 4th birthday this Friday! Jon and I are preparing to run our very first half-marathon this Saturday... I am nervous, but so thankful for the extra help and extra cheerleaders we will have with us in my family.:) Apparantly the little Kai man was feeling a little left out in all the excitement... so he decided to start rolling over yesterday!:) He has been really close for a while now, and finally gave Eliana and I a treat when he did it yesterday. Jon missed Eliana rolling over because he was in Afghanistan, so it was SO exciting and special for him to watch Kai do it when he came home from work. Thankfully Kai was in a cooperative mood!:) The exciting week just got even more exciting thanks to little buddy!:)

A new toy and other news...

Ok... so we all know how terrible I am about keeping up with this blog that I thought I would add another "blogging" type thing to my plate. A friend of mine created a photo share site free on shutterfly. People (namely grandparents :) ) can you go on the site and order right from it the pictures that they want... but it also has a link to post the pics right to a blog. For some reason posting the pictures to my shutterfly site and then attaching them to this blog seems a whole lot easier than putting them on the blog. I guess that I always feel like I have to write some sort of witty entry to go with the pictures... I know it's not true, but I just feel that way. So maybe this way I will do a better job.:)
In other news... a few weeks ago we started Eliana in her first ballet class. She absolutely LOVES to dance and one of her little friends from church was already in the class, so we joined too. Of course I had to receive a crash course in all things ballet, thanks Kimberly and Nikki, since I am clueless! I never took dance and never learned to dance any kind of dance, so this is a whole new world for me. This is just a side note, but in this area of the country dance is HUGE!! It seems like everybody wants their kids in dance and every grown up grew up in dance. Like I said... a whole new world!!:) But, Eliana loves it, so that is what is important. She looks so cute in her little outfit, and I love her happy smile when she comes out of class.
My half-marathon is right around the corner! I cannot believe it! I am in the tapering portion of the training right now. Tomorrow I get to run a 3 miler... the first time in weeks that I have run something that short! I am very excited about it... I think I was feeling a little "overtrained" and was actually not enjoying my running as much which made me sad. So one more semi-long run this coming weekend and then the race is on the 14th!
Kai had his 4 month check-up a couple weeks ago, and is doing great! He is in the
50th percentile for both height and weight and the 75th for head circumference. He continues to eat like a champ, as evidenced by his 15lbs. and chubby cheeks.:) He is also a great sleeper, and such a happy baby! This is an exciting time for Jon and I as we enter into the ages and stages of Kai's development that he missed with Eliana while he was in Afghanistan. It is almost like having a first baby all over again.:) It is so fun for me to watch him taking it all in. What a blessing!
Hopefully I will do better at blogging and posting pictures with this new shutterfly share site.:) Have a great week!!

Eliana gets creative

I love this! We only have one set of magnetic letters which means that there are only one of each letter. The other night when I was cooking dinner, Eliana was happily working on spelling her name on the fridge. This is what I found... :)

Trip to Annapolis

Last weekend we drove up to Annapolis for Jon's 10 year reunion from the Naval Academy. We were able to meet up with some of Jon's classmates and their families for dinner Friday night and then saw some again the next day at the game. I was so looking forward to seeing some Navy football. As much of a football fanatic as I am, I have never been to a game before (high school, college, or pro)so I was really excited to watch a game live. Unfortunately the weather had other plans, and we got totally rained out of the game.:( I was really bummed about that! Since it was raining we left the game and got to explore Annapolis a bit, and find a fun place to eat, that we don't have where we live. Over the weekend we had delicious Italian, Thai, and Indian foods... all of which we cannot get where we are... so we were spoiled in that way!:) On Sunday we got to stop in and see our dear friends, the Feists, and meet the newest Princess to join their family, little Simone. Kate looked AMAZING for just having had a baby and Simone is a gorgeous little peanut. She was so so tiny and sweet. It was so funny to see Kai next to her... my chunky monkey boy and this little teeny sweet pea!:) It was so fun to see how the older girls interacted as well. Sure wish that we lived closer so that playdates could be a regular thing for them. On our way home we spent some time in D.C. with Jon's college roommate and his family. We toured some museums and walked the mall a bit. Our kids are almost identical in age, and it was especially fun to watch the almost 4 year olds, Daniel and Eliana, together. Lastly, before we left the D.C. area, we were able to meet up for dinner with some dear friends from Hawaii, Spence and Midge Kawamoto. It was SO good to see them again, and to be able to introduce Kai to them. They were in the Bible study that was kind of responsible for Jon and I meeting in the first place, so our relationship with them is pretty special. Overall it was a great trip!! The best part was definitely being able to see old friends again, even if it was for a very brief amount of time.

Kai

Here are just some recent pictures of Kai. He is growing so fast and is such a good baby. He seems to have his Daddy's laid back personality, which of course makes me so happy. He is getting so much more interactive, and loves to watch his big sister at play. She,of course, loves to entertain him. It is so cute to watch the two of them together. He loves to play on his playmat and has been grabbing the toys lately and trying to put them in his mouth. He is also getting much more vocal and I can tell that he loves to hear the noises that he is making. It is fun to sing to him and then hear him "try" to sing back.:) Overall, we are just thoroughly enjoying our little man.

Huntington Beach and a cow...

Eliana had been so excited to go to the beach so that her Daddy could teach her how to surf. The waves were a bit big, about 6-7 ft. faces, so she didn't actually venture into the water. Daddy got her on the boogie board as her surfboard and she "surfed" the water as it washed in and out of the shore. She had a blast and so did Daddy helping her. Kai was all decked out for his first trip to the beach, compliments of the adorable board shorts that G-ma and G-pa U found for him. He just chilled out under his little tent listening to the ocean. We know that he will love it when he is bigger though, after all, his name does mean ocean.:)
Funny store about the cow... our local Chick Fil'A was running a contest this summer that we decided to enter. You got a little stuffed CFA cow and then were supposed to take him on vacation with you and photograph him in interesting places. We decided that the cow needed to go to the beach and try his hoof at surfing. We strapped him on the boogie board and then snapped some pictures. We sent them in and actually won the runners up prize! We couldn't believe it!:) We received coupons for like $30 worth of free food... it is mostly for their original chicken sandwich meal, which isn't the one we normally get... but hey, it is free, and we won it, so we will take it!:) After winning the Skype contest when Jon was deployed and now this one, we have decided that we need to enter EVERY contest that has the grand prize of a Hawaii trip. It seems were destined to win at least one!:)

Disneyland!!

Eliana was so excited to go to Disneyland on this trip! She couldn't wait to see the castle and meet the princesses. She was also excited to ride the rides... in the past she has been afraid to... so we couldn't wait for our Disney trip to watch her enjoying it. She got a little autograph book and we waited in lines to meet the characters. The longest line we waited in for anything was actually the line to meet the Disney Princesses.:) She met more of the princesses than just Belle, but I put Belle's picture, because she did the best job, in my opinion, of playing a princess and interacting with Eliana. You could always tell by watching Eliana's face, which ones were really doing a good job at their jobs. I also included the picture of TinkerBell, because she did a great job too! She gave Eliana a hug and Eliana came running back to us with the cutest smile on her face. I wish that I would have had the camera ready to capture the look on her face... it just represented to me all that they say about Disneyland being such a magical place... that was the smile on her face. I will never forget it... It was a great day and Eliana is still talking about it!:)

Tai Ma and Auntie Doris

Tai Ma and Auntie Doris came to CA for the wedding also, so it was so special to be able to spend time with them. Eliana and Kai were both showered with hugs and love. We look forward to the next time that we see them.

Quite possibly the cutest flower girl ever!!!

Okay, so we are a little biased.:) At the beginning of our trip to California, we were privileged to attend the wedding of Kevin and Alina(Uyboco) Reitze. Eliana was the flower girl, and did a really good job accompanied by her cousin Caleb. Kai behaved himself for the ceremony by falling asleep in Daddy's arms. It was a beautiful wedding and we were so happy to be able to be a part of it. We are super excited to have Kevin as an "official" part of the family now too.:)

Randomness

Well, I have been a complete slacker about posting anything on this blog.:( I promise to put some recent pics up soon, but thought that any entry is better than none.
Kai is 6 weeks old today! Time flies!! Not only does he look just like his Daddy, but he also seems to have his laid back personality! Yay! He has been doing a lot of "talking" and smiling these days, which I love! He is my first bottle baby, as Eliana would NEVER take one. I had a very difficult time nursing him, so after a lot of tears and discussion, we have gone to formula. I didn't think that I would ever do that. I didn't exactly like nursing with Eliana, but I was able to do it... so this was a very hard road for me. I think that I am mostly over that guilt, dissapointment hump now, and Kai is thriving and growing and eating like a champ so that is good. Phew! It was a hard road there for a while though.:( When I look at my baby boys face, I am just continually in awe of our God and how specifically He answered my prayers for a baby boy! He looks exactly like what I asked God for! How he pulls the Asian side even more than Jon, can only be God!:)
Eliana is doing pretty well. She adores her baby brother and loves to hug him and kiss him and help me with him. She gets real shy and quiet(and sometimes ornery) when others are admiring her baby brother and not her. Other than that she is mostly her normal happy self. The thing that she is really into these days is playing "school." She will sit at her little table and do her "homework" and then plan all these other activities that children do at school.
Many of you know that Jon is taking seminary classes online from Liberty University. We are still praying about it, but he may go back into the Navy as a chaplain. A few weeks ago at church he was given the opportunity to preach on a Sunday night. He did such a great job and I was so proud of him... don't know who was more nervous about the whole thing, me or him.:) It will be so interesting to see where God leads us!! Oh yeah, the really neat thing was that his Mom was here at that time and so she got to hear him preach. I know that meant the world to her.
I am going to brag on my Hubby one more time... this afternoon I am headed out of town to go and hear Beth Moore, Kay Arthur, and Priscilla Shirer at a Deeper Still conference with ladies from my church. I absolutely LOVE Beth Moore, so I am just beside myself with excitement to hear her live! Originally the plan was for me to take Kai with me, but now that he is taking a bottle that wasn't as imperative, but I was still going to take him. Then my wonderful husband said he would keep both kids because he knew I wouldn't fully be able to enjoy the conference if I had to watch over Kai. So he is coming home early from work and going to keep both kids until dinner time tomorrow night when I will be home! What a gift he is giving me!! I get a full nights sleep tonight!!:) More than that, I get to sit under some amazing godly women and soak up their teaching without distraction! I am like a hungry sponge and cannot wait to be fed!! Thanks My Love!! You are my Hero!!
Well, that's all for now. I WILL post pictures soon!:)

Chinese lesson

Grandpa is teaching Eliana how to write Chinese characters. It was cute to watch her and to see her so deep in concentration as she tried to copy Grandpa.

Eliana's late night exercise session

There are times when Eliana gets to sleep on the floor in our room. Usually it is when it is storming outside, as she is fearful of thunder, or in this case, it was July 4th evening and there were fireworks going off outside. So we put her down and went to relax and watch a movie. When we went back in our room to go to bed ourselves, this is how we found her! She must have been planning do some exercise with the ab ball or something.:)

Some recent pictures...

Well, it has taken me a while to post these, but here are some recent pics of Kai and Eliana. We are all doing well and adjusting into our role as a family of 4. My Mom and step-Dad were here to help out right at Kai's birth and then we had 3 days on our own with no help. Now Jon's parents are here and we are enjoying their help as well. Kai is doing very well, and seems to have his Daddy's easy going personality. Eliana is loving her role as "Big Sister" and loves to hug, kiss, and hold her baby brother. She is a very big help! Enjoy the pics, and I will try and not take so long the next time to post some more.:)

He's here!!!

Our baby boy arrived at 9:15 am and weighed in at 8 lbs. 7 oz. and 20 inches long. We still cannot get over the size of him, especially considering #1- the size of his parents, and #2- the fact that he was born 3 weeks before Eliana was and still outweighed her!! Crazy!! Unfortunately because of the c/s, he has had some trouble with fluid on his lungs and is still being monitored in the nursery. Jon got to hold him for a bit in the OR and I got to see him some, but still haven't held him. We are hoping/praying we will get him soon! We will post some better pictures later, when we actually have him with us, but for now, these are just a few from the OR. Thanks so much for your prayers!! I am feeling really well... just anxious to hold my baby boy!:)

Here's the scoop...

As of today my c/s is schedule for 8:30 tomorrow morning. I guess that is if I don't get bumped by any ladies that are already in labor and may need a c/s. So we will be heading to the hospital a little after 6 tomorrow morning and then just counting down the time until we first lay eyes on our little Matthew Kai. We would definitely appreciate your prayers for baby, Mommy, Dr., etc... It is a little more scary this time knowing what to expect from a c/s. We will try to post pics and the news as soon as we can.

The finished rooms!!

Hooray!! The rooms are done and the decorations hung, with the exception of Kai's surfboard, which will arrive with Grandma and Grandpa Ohio on Wednesday of this next week. I am so thrilled with how Eliana's room turned out, after all that worrying.:) Her favorite part is her reading corner by far! I think it would be mine too.:) As you can see from the pictures, Maka also enjoys the reading canopy. I was also thrilled with how the name signs turned out for each child. They were so much fun to do!! A week from tonight we will be making final preparations to head to the hospital in the morning to finally meet Matthew Kai! Very exciting times!!

9 1/2 Days...

Unless he decides to come sooner on his own, that is when we are looking to meet our little man. We are very excited and just trying to go about our every day things so that we don't go stir crazy.:) We are also trying to soak up all of the time that we have as a family of 3 before we become a family of 4. Both of the kids rooms are almost finished. I have just a few more decorations that I am either working on or waiting on, and then they will be complete. I will post pictures soon. Eliana's room actually looks quite cozy, despite its size and she loves it, especially her new reading area. (Thanks to the latest Family Fun magazine for an awesome idea!!) I am still feeling pretty well... I feel HUGE of course, but compared to how I was with Eliana, I feel AMAZING! I am still managing to sleep alright at night, which is a huge blessing because I am not much of a napper during the day. I have a wonderful husband taking care of me, a bubbly energetic 3 1/2 year old entertaining me, and Lakers Finals basketball to watch... what more can a girl ask for?!:) I will post some pics soon.:)

The past few weeks...

I know that I have been a complete slacker about updating my blog these past few weeks. I have been having issues with getting pictures to upload onto the computer so that I could have something interesting to blog about.:) We have kept busy these past few weeks. We moved Eliana into her big girl room, which by the way, went very well. She pretty much wanted to be in there right away and has loved it ever since. Thanks for your prayers and advice! We have some more decorating to do in there, as well as in the nursery, and then I hope to post pics of both kids rooms. We have been busy cheering on the Lakers in the NBA Playoffs. A lot of people don't believe me when I tell them just how much weight I put on with Eliana, so we decided to put on the same Lakers jerseys from that pregnancy and do a little comparison. The photos will prove it! Yikes! I cannot believe I let myself get THAT big! Jon and Eliana spoiled me the weekend after Mother's Day... his last week of class and numerous projects were due the week of Mother's Day, so I told him to just get that done and we would celebrate when things weren't so stressful for him. He and Eliana made a frittata with spinach, sausage, and mushrooms! That was his first one and it was DELICIOUS!! He also made yogurt parfaits to go along with it, and then we had YUMMY BBQ ribs for dinner. I had a whole day of no cooking! WooHoo!! Lastly, our big news is that we joined the minivan driving club! This past Saturday we got our new Honda Odyssey and are just loving it! Pretty soon we will be trying it out with 2 kids... just 2 weeks and 4 days until my c/s! We CANNOT WAIT to meet our baby boy!!

Your thoughts and tips are most welcomed!!

In order to get ready for Kai, we are moving Eliana into a new room in the house. It just so happens that this room is one of the biggest rooms in the house, as it was created as a "Bonus Room" above the garage. We want to keep our guest room intact as it has its own bathroom, but have no idea how to make such a large room cozy for a little girl. Her big girl furniture arrives tomorrow and we are excited to see how it helps to fill up the room, which is basically empty right now. She seems excited to have a big girl room, but she is also a lot like me and thrives on structure and routine. Yikes!:) Anyways, our plan is to keep her in her current room all this week and just let her get used to the idea of having a room in the big one and see her new furniture in there. This week is also super busy for Jon as he finishes up his current class... 4 major things due the same week!! So we want to move her into her new room maybe next week. Is that too soon? How should we do it? Am I worrying too much? Are you laughing at my first time Mommyness shining through?:) Some of you have seen the room that I am talking about... any suggestions for making it cozy? I would love to hear how my more experienced Mommy friends got their children ready for the arrival of a new sibling! We can totally use any advice that you can give!:)

A Hawaiian Baby Shower...

This past Sunday the girls at church threw me a Hawaiian themed baby shower. I had told them that we were doing Kai's nursery in the same "Aloha Baby" bedding that we had used for Eliana, and they just took that and ran with it. It was so fun to see how creative they were! I would have to say that my favorite part was as I started to open gifts, they turned on a cd of Hawaiian music. Oh my! I could literally just close my eyes and be back there! Hearing softly playing Hawaiian music always makes me think of landing in Hawaii and getting off the plane to that welcome sound. Then stepping outside and feeling the breeze and smelling that sweet tropical air. For those of you who know, are you there with me now?!:) I was so touched by the amount of time and love that went into planning that shower for me. For a girl that is desperately missing "home" it sure made my heart smile, not to mention all of the fun stuff that we got for Kai.:)

Happy Easter

The imagination of a 3 year old...

Here are a couple of pictures of Eliana "at play." The first pictures are how I found her little peoples posed one day. I asked her what they were doing and she happily exclaimed that they were dancing. Notice that they even have an audience watching them.:) Dancing around in her princess dresses is one of her favorite things to do, especially if she can dance with Daddy to Steven Curtis Chapman's Cinderella song. The last one is how I found her one morning in her bed. She had stuffed one of her small baby dolls down her pj's and told me she had a baby in her belly. She had to keep the baby in there for quite a while, but finally told me that the baby was falling out, so she needed to change.:) Hope she doesn't think that Kai will just fall out.:)
